  • Can we bring a cooler with us on the bus?

Short answer, no. The Cellar Door Experience is fun, entertaining, and classy. We are not a "booze cruise" and we like to make sure each tour goes off without a hitch.

Plus, we've designed our tours to minimize time on the bus so you can spend more time tasting great wines with our winery partners. Trust us, there will be no shortage of food or drink!
  • Where is the pick-up/drop-off location?

We pick your group up and drop you off at a single location of your choosing in Niagara Falls or Niagara-on-the-Lake.

  • What is your refund/cancellation policy?

We offer a full refund for cancellations made at least 48 hours before the scheduled pick-up time for all our tours, except for Saturday bookings.

Since Saturday bookings require advanced planning, we extend a full refund for cancellations made more than 14 days prior to the scheduled pickup time.
  • Are gratuities included?

No, gratuities are not included in the ticket price.

At the conclusion of an enjoyable wine tour experience, it is customary to express your appreciation for your guide's exceptional service. A gratuity is a meaningful way to recognize their dedication to making your tour engaging and memorable. In the wine tourism industry, a typical tip is generally recommended to range between 10% to 15% of the total ticket price. This range ensures that your gesture aligns with the level of service you received. Whether your guide adeptly shared their knowledge about the wines, provided insights into the winemaking process, or simply created a delightful atmosphere, your tip serves as a token of gratitude. Ultimately, the decision of how much to tip rests with you, considering both the quality of service and your personal satisfaction. Your generosity contributes to the continued excellence of wine tours and encourages guides to provide exceptional experiences for all guests.
  • Is lunch or dinner mandatory?

Lunch or dinner is included in the price of the tour and cannot be separated out.

We do have vegetarian and vegan options available upon request. There is a section in the booking process where you can let us know of any dietary restrictions.
  • When does my card get charged for a Bachelorette & Special Occasions Tour?

This is a special occasion request. Tickets will not be charged at the time of booking this request. Once approved, all Bachelorette & Special Occasion tickets will be charge to the card on file 6 weeks prior to your scheduled tour date.

We have a 14 day full refund policy. If you cancel within the 14 days of your scheduled tour date, we will be happy to reschedule your tour according to our availability.
  • Can I customize a tour for a birthday party or wedding celebration?

Yes! Please email [email protected] or call us and we will be happy to work with you on your special event (subject to availability and any additional upgrade charges).

  • Is there a dress code?

Please dress comfortably and wear weather appropriate shoes.

  • What happens if it rains?

Rain or shine, Cellar Door Wine Experience is always an excellent time.

  • What if I don't drink alcohol?

Non-alcholic beverages are available, as well as bottled water.

There is a $30 discount for anyone who wants to join us for a tour, alcohol free.
  • Is there an age limit to go on a wine tour?

The legal drinking age in the province of Ontario is 19 years old.

Guests under the age of 19 can purchase one of our "No Alcohol Tickets" for $30 OFF any tour and tag along with their group, take in the beautiful scenery, enjoy gourmet cheese, lunch and/or dinner with non-alcoholic drink options. Cellar Door strictly enforces this rule and reserves the right to ask anyone in question to verify their age with photo ID.
  • Why are gluten-free tickets more expensive?

Our lunch food partner makes amazing gourmet artisanal wood fire pizzas and is happy to accomodate for gluten-free requests.

When you reserve a gluten-free ticket, you get your own personal gourmet pizza made with house-made gluten-free dough. This extra charge goes straight to our food partner to cover that cost. You WILL NOT be disappointed!
  • Keeping it Classy & Refusal of Service.

We ask that everyone who comes on our tours to show up rested, respectful & sober. We strive to entertain, educate, and give all of our guests the best wine tour experience possible. Babysitting hungover or intoxicated guests is not in our repertoire and takes away from the experience for everyone on the tour.

Guests will be refused service if they are deemed to be not of legal drinking age and sneaking in alcohol, or at/over the point of intoxication, or by any other reason as per the governance set by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO). Our drivers, winery, and food partners reserve the right to refuse service to any guests at their discretion for any reason, which will result in removal from the tour at the guest's expense. Guests will be held responsible for any damage or cleaning fees that results from their participation on the tour.
